Do you love drinking water? Weird question right? Drinking water is healthy yet we miss it. Water is like liquid gold for our bodies. Water not only aids in digestion, it also curbs the appetite, hence preventing over eating. It keeps the skin well hydrated. Studies have shown water even prevents headaches. So why is it such a struggle to make sure we’re getting our recommended intake of water per day?
I believe, the world of water is in need of a massive flavor revolution. Water just doesn’t match the sweet taste of fruit juice, the deliciousness of wine or the creaminess of a latte.

Water is however necessary for survival. Drink water as much as possible. So, next time you’re looking to quench your thirst, try one of these tasty all-natural combinations. Using fresh ingredients will give your liquid gold the kick it needs and keep you feeling your absolute best.

1. Strawberry, Basil, & Lemon

Though there are many ways to drink tasty water. Strawberry mint water is one of my favorites. Here is a jar with strawberry, water and mint.

This one is off-the-chart refreshing as well as tasty. I remember being in Singapore, having spent the morning in the blazing sun, and the hotel had big jugs of this at the front desk. Maybe it was the sun, maybe it was the heavy lunch at the beach, but the fresh combination of orange and mint was like an oasis in my mouth.

To make:
Super simple – just cut a strawberry into slices and toss in a jug of still water along with three sprigs of fresh basil. Feel free to add in lemon or other citrus fruits.

2. Pineapple, Orange, & Mint

This is my personal favorite way of drinking water. Pineapple and orange give that perfect tangy taste to the water. It’s very energizing. It’s like a dose of freshness anytime a day.

To make:
Cut pineapple and orange into slices and toss in a jug of still water along with three sprigs of fresh mint.

3. Cucumber & mint

Make your water tasty with cucumber mint and lemon combination. I love to drink water this way. Here is glasses filled with water and ice along with lemon, mint and cucumber.

This little ditty is the perfect accompaniment to a hearty meal. It’s best way to drink water after or before a meal. Fruity drinks have the tendency to take away savory flavors, but this pairing gives you the fresh taste of cucumber combined with the fragrance of mint.

To make:
Fill a jug halfway with still water and the remaining half with sparkling water. Throw in 4 sprigs of fresh mint and 1/3 of a cucumber, cut into spears. Chill to serve. I sometimes toss in grapefruit juice too. Serve chilled.

*Note: You can easily upgrade this to a cocktail by adding a couple of shots of vodka to the jug. You know, if you’re, uh, entertaining…

4. Lemon and mint

Tasty way to drink water is adding mint and lemon in it. Here is glass filled with water along with lemon and mint.

The basic lemon and mint drink can be your go to drink anytime of the day. It does wonders to the taste of water. It’s super simple to make and very refreshing.

To make:
Take a glass of water and toss in cut lemon slices along with three sprigs of fresh mint. Serve chilled.

5. Iced fruity Hibiscus Tea

Another tasty way to drink water is using hibiscus tea. Hibiscus tea is a good way of drinking water. Here is a glass of hibiscus tea.

Have you tried Hibiscus tea? Hibiscus tea has become very famous nowadays. I love this crimson drink. Hibiscus tea is easily available nowadays in all major tea shops. Though it has a typical aroma, yet it would uplift your spirits anytime anywhere. It’s a good way to spice up your water.

To make:
Set a pot of water to boil. Add in the dried hibiscus flower and keep it covered for 5 minutes. Strain the tea in a glass and throw away the hibiscus flower. Cut pomegranate in half. Using a wooden spoon, tap the skin of each half over a bowl, to dislodge seeds, collecting juice and seeds as you go. Add seeds and juice to tea. Stir through and refrigerate until cold. Chill to serve. You can even add a tsp of lime juice to it.
