5 Must Haves For A Long Flight

We are all travelers in our heart. Some roam the lands their mind create, while others enjoy God’s lovely lands. Travelling has been so simplified and geography is no longer a limitation. Air travel has been in the rage since past decade. But still long flights can be pretty draining. I had been travelling a bit more than usual, since past few months. Long flights have become a integral part of it.

So here are few tips that helped me survive the long haul.

1. Comfy clothes

It’s a long flight, and you never know, when the plane can turn ice box with that robust air-con. Wear clothes in layers, so that you can adjust with the temperature inside. You can even take a hoodie. Wear comfortable slip-on or whichever footwear is comfortable for you. Wearing too snug footwear is a big no-no. You’re feet does start to swell on high altitudes. Carry wool socks to warm up your feet in cold airplanes. If you can consider investing in a neck pillow. It’s a boon for long flights. Though some flights provide eye mask and ear plugs, it’s always safe to carry your own.

2. Carry your own snacks

Finding food, likable to your taste, is extremely rare on flights. So don’t forget to carry your own stash of something to keep you saited. Nuts, dark chocolates, granola bars or anything you prefer. I love to carry some salads with me. You can even carry a sauce or mayo of your preference, to make airplane food tasty.

3. Stay Hydrated

Of course there’s water on-board, but flight attendants will give you a cup. So two sips on it, viola, the water is gone. I would recommend carrying an empty bottle and getting it filled or you can buy a bottle, if there’s an option.

4. Pick a comfortable seat

If you are the one who likes to go to loo frequently, opt for an aisle seat. Some people prefer extra leg room, if you’re one of those take the exit rows. To avoid crying babies, stay away from the front of the plane.

5. Portable backup chargers

Many flights have individual outlets and USB jacks at each seat. Still there are some that don’t, or heck some might not be working. Be wise to keep your devices fully juiced up to enjoy all those musics and videos throughout the flight.

I even carry hand creams, lip balms, perfumes, mini toiletries and wipes.

Hope you have a safe and comfortable flight.
